Long before science gave us a new, mathematical language to explain it - - -
lightning was considered
an expression of
nature's patterns,
spiritual energy,
and the cosmic laws ordering the universe.
In ancient times,
it was a physical manifestation of
supernatural intervention,
divine truth,
creative force,
expanded awareness,
and alchemy.
Fertility,
an omen,
or a calling.
A blessing,
and a burden.
It should be no surprise, then,
that lightning
most often strikes
tall,
isolated trees,
and
those with a specific
internal
composition
and characteristics
that allow this
celestial-terrestrial interaction
to happen
with least resistance.
Often,
the same ones
over
and over
again.
This is not about trees.
